Beschreibung: | Understatement can be so versatile! With a diameter of 39 millimeters and a height of only 9.9 millimeters, the DS3X line with its unobtrusive elegance looks just as good on ladies' wrists as it does on men's. The playful contrast between the different dial hand colors and the indices covered with special white paint gives the DS30 the appearance of an enduring classic. Combined with the wide selection of colored leather straps, however, the DS3X just as quickly becomes a bold fashion statement. Speaking of enduring, the highlight of the DS3X line is once again the bead-blasted submarine steel case. This is not only distinguished by extraordinary craftsmanship, but is also of the highest amagnetic quality and corrosion resistance. With its exceptional strength, in addition to its ductility, complete corrosion resistance even when consistently exposed to seawater, and its high anti-magnetic quality, austenitic submarine steel is the ideal material for our DS and divers' lines of watches. In our submarine steel models, all components such as casing, case back, crown, and bezel undergo surface hardening. This type of steel is particularly well-known for being used to build submarines. In particular, the outer hulls of the most modern non-nuclear submarine class in the world, the German Navy's 212, is made from this same material. A particular characteristic of this steel alloy is its ductility. This means that the material, despite its very high level of stability, is also capable of reacting especially elastically, without tearing. This makes austenitic submarine steel the perfect choice of material for DAMASKO, with our typical demands for an extremely long lifespan. Of course, we source our austenitic submarine steel exclusively from German steelworks. Its exceptional basic stability is the ideal foundation for the subsequent diffusion hardening process. All DAMASKO models are fitted with a screw-down case back, which is sealed by a Viton® o-ring. |
