description: | Product description Our new DK3X line impresses with its striking design, clear readability and reduced dial design. This model line again shows its kinship to our instrumental watches and pilot watches. By concentrating on the most important display elements, a hardened case with a finely bead-blasted surface, this line emphasizes its sporty, elegant appearance. This sporty timepiece is powered by the new innovative manufacture caliber A26 "Made in Germany", which can be impressively admired through the sapphire crystal display caseback. * Austenitic Submarine Steel With its exceptional strength, in addition to its ductility, complete corrosion resistance even when consistently exposed to seawater, and its high anti-magnetic quality, austenitic submarine steel is the ideal material for our DS and divers' lines of watches. In our submarine steel models, all components such as casing, case back, crown, and bezel undergo surface hardening. This type of steel is particularly well-known for being used to build submarines. In particular, the outer hulls of the most modern non-nuclear submarine class in the world, the German Navy's 212, is made from this same material. A particular characteristic of this steel alloy is its ductility. This means that the material, despite its very high level of stability, is also capable of reacting especially elastically, without tearing. This makes austenitic submarine steel the perfect choice of material for DAMASKO, with our typical demands for an extremely long lifespan. Of course, we source our austenitic submarine steel exclusively from German steelworks. Its exceptional basic stability is the ideal foundation for the subsequent diffusion hardening process. All DAMASKO models are fitted with a screw-down case back, which is sealed by a Viton® o-ring.
