Marine models with Arabic numerals appeared towards the end of the epoch. German watch ateliers began constructing their Marine models after the First World War using Arabic numerals in place of the previously standard Roman numerals. The dial of the Tourby Marine Arabisch is made from genuine sterling silver by one of the most prestigious manufacturers of watch dials in Germany. The high-quality dial is given a granular surface, emulating the tradition of the old Marine watches. The pear hands are made from steel and are this elegant watch's crowning glory. The hand-made casing is super slim and features rounded, slightly shorter lugs so that the watch can also be worn by people with narrower wrists without the lugs sticking out. The anti-reflective sapphire crystal is domed at the sides, making it reminiscent of the crystals on old-fashioned pocket watches. The strap is made from genuine alligator leather and rounds off the high-quality design of this watch. The onion crown is constructed in such a way that it is ideal for daily use. It is practical, with rounded edges, but not overly large in order to maintain comfort.
